POP3 email accounts
(If you are using Ezian to pick up and send Yahoo mail you don't
need a POP3 account)
-
Get a server email account (POP3) from
your ISP.
-
Get your one from your company, or school.
-
Get one free (means they send you ads
and add taglines to email). We describe three free
pop3's.
An email account is the computer where
your email is actually sent through and where mail to you is sent.
Ezian lets you get and send mail through any POP3.
Ezian will also pick up your and send all
your Yahoo email accounts. Your Yahoo information is all you need to pick
up and send with Ezian. You don't need a POP3 account if you have
a Yahoo account.
Here are six ways to get a POP3 email account.
-
Ask your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for
an account. They will give you information you need to enter into Ezian.
This kind of email account is called a Mail Server or POP3
account (Post Office Protocol).
-
From schools
-
Businesses
-
Anyone who has a domain name. This and the
two previous are actually the same as an ISP account (POP3), but certainly
often confusing to people who have email accounts which have nothing to
do with their ISP.
-
If you are associated with a company or group
(some churches for example provide POP3 accounts to their members) you
can often get your mail server account that way.
-
You can get free POP3 accounts from companies
offering that service on the web. You can do a search on Google.com
for "Free POP3 email." Don't be fooled by some which offer only incoming
service. They must also offer SMTP (outgoing). The three free
ones we suggest are ok.
If you don't have an ISP, for example, if
you use a service like AOL to access the internet, you need to at least
get a free POP3 email account to be able to send mail and receive mail
with Ezian. You don't need to have a POP3 email account to be able
to pick up and send Yahoo mail.
