Setting Preferences for Getting Mail
Click Prefs from the Ezian opening screen, and then the Getting tab, to display the panel for setting preferences for getting mail.

Automatic pickup frequency
Ezian will go out to your mail accounts, and Get your mail automatically at whatever time you designate.  Just click the check box to Get mail every ___ minutes, and complete the sentence (fill in the blank) with how often you want mail picked up.  Every 5 minutes is the minimum setting. Typing 5,  and checking the box, will cause Ezian to go out and retrieve your mail every five minutes. 

Choosing which accounts you to get mail from
Ezian will pick up the mail for just those identities which you select to be picked up. The checkboxes in the left hand column under the heading "Active" determine which mail accounts you want to be picked up.   Simply check the boxes to the left of the account name for those you wish to be active.  The activation works for both automatic pick up and manual (clicking Get from the main Ezian screen). 

Choosing which identities to Get
Sometimes in a business situation you may not wish to retrieve mail of a recreational or avocational nature.  Sometimes when you are relaxing on personal time, you may not want to pick up your business mail.  Having the ability to turn on and off which accounts are to be retrieved can serve many purposes.

Skipping oversized email
Ezian allows you to skip oversize email in order to save download time.  

When mail arrives - alert notices
The Prefs > Getting panel provides checkbox controls for the two ways to be alerted about incoming mail.
You can turn alerts on or off.  You have the option to hear a pleasant greeting sound, and the option to have the mailbox pop up when new mail comes in.

Play sound when mail arrives.
When this box is checked you will hear a greeting announcement whenever new mail arrives. 

Pop up mailbox when mail arrives
When this box is checked, the mailbox will pop-up upon mail arrival, displaying the newly retrieved mail.
