Identity you are known as

Using the identity which the person you selected knows you as, limits your chat possibilities for this conference to only those who know you by the same identity.  This is desirable if you wish to keep your various identities confidential within each group of recipients.

The alternative is Using All identities.

After you have made your identity choice the Chat window is displayed.
